Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal Dazzle As Showstoppers At Manish Malhotra’s Mijwan Show

Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal turned heads as showstoppers for designer Manish Malhotra’s latest Mijwan showcase in Mumbai on September 26.

Alia looked stunning in an ivory chikankari saree, while Vicky complemented her in a midnight-blue and ivory bandhgala sherwani from Malhotra’s Mijwan collection.

The showcase celebrated 15 years of artisanal craftsmanship by the Mijwan Welfare Society, highlighting intricate Chikankari and thread-work embroidery in ivory, deep green, coral and ombré tones.

Alia Bhatt’s Ivory Chikankari Look

Styled by Rhea Kapoor, Alia walked the ramp in a custom ivory chikankari couture ensemble that blended bridal elegance with a contemporary silhouette.

Her saree featured intricate Chikankari embroidery, shimmering sequin embellishments, silver detailing along the border, scalloped edges and a flowing pallu draped over her shoulder. The look was paired with a modern bandeau-style blouse featuring delicate appliqué, spaghetti straps, a square neckline and a cropped hem.

Alia completed the ensemble with a matching sheer veil draped over her head. The floor-length veil featured scalloped borders, Chikankari embroidery and sequin detailing.

For jewellery, she opted for an elaborate diamond-and-pearl necklace set in white gold, statement earrings, a maang tikka and diamond-encrusted haath phools.

Her beauty look featured a sleek, centre-parted bun, dewy skin, smoky eyes and glossy pink lips, with feathered brows, mascara-coated lashes, softly rouged cheeks, highlighter and subtle contouring.

Vicky Kaushal’s Midnight-Blue And Ivory Sherwani

Vicky Kaushal complemented Alia in a midnight-blue and ivory sherwani ensemble from the Mijwan collection.

His outfit comprised a white kurta, matching flared trousers and a midnight-blue bandhgala jacket. The jacket was the focal point, featuring intricate Chikankari embroidery, sequin embellishments and a sharply tailored silhouette.

The split-bandhgala design included a collared neckline, padded shoulders, full-length sleeves, an open front with a single-button closure and side slits.

Vicky accessorised the ensemble with diamond jewellery, including a diamond-encrusted chain and statement rings. White juttis, swept-back hair and his signature rugged beard completed his look.

The two actors, who will next be seen together in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love & War, brought a striking blend of traditional craftsmanship and contemporary couture to the Mijwan runway.
