Actor Kartik Aaryan has donated ₹1 crore to the Assam Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to support flood relief efforts in the state, joining Salman Khan and other celebrities in extending help to those affected by the devastating floods.

The Assam Chief Minister’s Office announced the contribution on X, while Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma thanked the actor for his timely support, saying it would go a long way in helping flood-affected people.

Earlier, Salman Khan launched a phased relief campaign through his NGO, Being Human, in collaboration with one of his Assam-based fan clubs. The initiative began with food distribution and will expand to provide other essential supplies to affected families.

Actors Bhumi Pednekar and Alia Bhatt have also used their social media platforms to raise awareness and encourage donations for relief efforts.

Meanwhile, the flood situation in Assam remains critical. According to the Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), two more people, including a child, drowned in Sivasagar district over the past 24 hours, taking this year’s flood death toll to 80.

More than 2.12 lakh people remain affected across Charaideo, Golaghat, Jorhat and Sivasagar districts, with Charaideo being the worst-hit. The state government has set up 112 relief and distribution camps sheltering over 75,000 displaced people, while rescue operations continue with the assistance of the Army, NDRF, SDRF, police and other agencies.
