However, the actor says she remains committed to her international projects as well, recently revealing a major Hollywood collaboration.

Priyanka confirmed in an interview with Fortune India that she will be working with Hollywood star Angelina Jolie. She did not reveal details about the project, leaving fans curious whether the collaboration is for a film, brand campaign or a social initiative.

During the conversation, Priyanka also spoke about being inspired by global stars including Angelina Jolie, Penélope Cruz and Salma Hayek.

Priyanka Chopra’s return with Varanasi

The actor is making her comeback to Indian films after a seven-year gap with Varanasi, directed by SS Rajamouli. The film is among the most expensive Indian productions ever made, with a reported budget of ₹1,200–1,400 crore ($135–150 million).

The large-scale adventure has been filmed across locations including Georgia, Antarctica, Africa and Hyderabad. Talking about the film’s ambition, Priyanka said it represents a scale rarely attempted in Indian cinema and expressed excitement about its worldwide release.

The film is scheduled to release globally on April 7, 2027.

Priyanka’s upcoming projects

Apart from Varanasi, Priyanka will appear alongside Orlando Bloom in a PPP co-production and is also part of Mira Nair’s biographical drama Amri.

She will additionally star in Nicholas Stoller’s Judgment Day, which features actors including Will Ferrell, Zac Efron and Regina Hall.

Priyanka said she has become more selective about choosing projects after years of hard work, adding that she now has the freedom to create and choose roles that match her vision.

She said her career has reached a stage where she can “pick and choose and create my own projects.”
