The Paradise: Nani Reveals Why Srikanth Odela Film Will Not Have a Trailer
When Nani and filmmaker Srikanth Odela announced their second collaboration after Dasara (2023), expectations were high. However, their upcoming film The Paradise has faced multiple delays, and the makers have now confirmed another unusual decision: there will be no trailer for the film.
Speaking to the media on Friday evening, Nani confirmed that the team has decided not to release a trailer. The film’s teaser was released in August.
Why The Paradise Will Not Have a Trailer
Confirming reports that the film would skip a trailer, Nani said the decision was not aimed at taking the audience for granted.
“The Paradise will not have a trailer. Someone said that even if we don’t promote from now, the film has enough hype to sustain it. I am not taking the audience for granted, though,” Nani said.
Explaining the decision, the actor said the team is currently focused on completing the film to the desired quality.
“There are so many teams working hard now to deliver a quality film. If we give a trailer now, it needs to be stellar. To do that, we will have to set aside post-production for a few days,” he said.
Nani added that the team had initially planned to release a trailer but eventually decided against it due to the production circumstances.
“We had also hoped to release a good trailer, but given the circumstances, we made the decision not to release it,” he said.
Nani on Srikanth Odela’s Time Management
At the same event, Nani also opened up about Odela’s struggles with time management during the making of The Paradise.
“Srikanth suddenly apologised to me one day. He said he has missed the mark when it comes to time management,” Nani recalled.
According to Nani, Odela acknowledged the issue but admitted that he did not know how to improve his time management skills.
Nani also revealed that Odela wants to learn from filmmaker SS Rajamouli after completing The Paradise.
“He told me he would like to join as Rajamouli’s assistant director after shooting this film. I felt happy when I heard that,” Nani said.
The actor added that filmmakers need to constantly improve their craft and said he appreciated Odela for recognising an area where he could learn from someone more experienced.
