United Nations Security Council condemns killing of French peacekeeper in Lebanon
The United Nations Security Council on Monday strongly condemned the killing of a French peacekeeper in Lebanon, an incident France has blamed on Hezbollah.

The peacekeeper was killed and three others injured on Saturday when their unit was ambushed while heading to an outpost of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon that had been cut off amid ongoing clashes between Hezbollah and Israel.
“The members of the Security Council condemned in the strongest terms the attack … and reaffirmed their full support for UNIFIL,” the UN body said in a statement.
