The Ministry of Tourism is set to participate in the World Travel Market (WTM) London, one of the world’s leading international travel and tourism exhibitions. The three-day event, concluding on November 7, will bring together tourism boards, travel companies, and industry stakeholders from across the globe.

India will be represented by a 50-member delegation, including officials from state governments, inbound tour operators, airlines, and hospitality companies. The delegation will highlight India’s diverse tourism offerings to global travel trade partners and visitors.

A key attraction will be the India Pavilion, designed to showcase the country’s cultural heritage, traditions, and tourism potential. This year, the pavilion will place special emphasis on wedding tourism, Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions (MICE) tourism, and the upcoming Mahakumbh, reflecting India’s focus on high-value tourism segments.

To promote its wedding tourism segment, the pavilion will feature a mock mandapam, offering visitors an immersive experience of traditional Indian wedding aesthetics and celebrations. The installation aims to position India as a premier destination for luxury weddings and cultural events.

The participation is part of the ministry’s broader strategy to boost inbound tourism and strengthen India’s positioning as a global travel destination. The initiative aims to attract international visitors by promoting a mix of cultural, spiritual, and business tourism experiences.

India’s emphasis on MICE tourism also reflects its ambition to become a leading hub for international conferences, exhibitions, and corporate events, supported by expanding infrastructure and improved global connectivity.

Through its presence at WTM London, the Ministry of Tourism seeks to deepen engagement with global travel stakeholders, generate new business opportunities, and reinforce India’s image as a diverse and high-potential tourism destination.
