Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the new terminal building at Jodhpur Airport, a ₹480-crore project aimed at enhancing passenger capacity and strengthening aviation infrastructure in Rajasthan.

During the event, the Prime Minister also launched the revamped UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik) scheme, which seeks to expand regional air connectivity across India over the next decade.

Built at a cost of ₹480 crore, the new terminal spans more than 23,000 square metres and has been designed to handle up to 2 million (20 lakh) passengers annually, according to the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO).

The upgraded facility is expected to improve the passenger experience while supporting the growing demand for air travel in the region.
