‘Ghoom Ke Chamaat Maro’: Salman Khan Calls Out Paparazzi Over Inappropriate Photos, Urges Actors To Take A Stand

The latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 20 saw host Salman Khan address the issue of paparazzi photographing female actors from behind, saying many women feel uncomfortable with the practice.

During the episode, Salman criticised photographers who allegedly take such pictures and then post them with captions asking followers to identify the celebrity.

Salman Khan Recalls Niece’s Experience

Salman said some female actors may not object to such photographs, but questioned why the wishes of those who are uncomfortable with them are ignored.

He recalled seeing Saiee Manjrekar appear uncomfortable in such a situation and mentioned Neha Dhupia, who has previously spoken out against the practice.

Salman also shared that his own niece had been photographed from behind while walking.

“My own niece, she was walking, and they kept clicking from behind. And what did the caption say? Guess who it is. Who are they to do this?” he said.

Salman Urges Women To Speak Out

The actor urged women who object to such photography to firmly stand up for themselves.

He expressed his anger at photographers who repeatedly take such pictures at public events and questioned the mentality behind posting them.

Salman also said that many women who are now mothers had never been comfortable with such photographs and still do not want them to be taken.

Celebrities Who Have Objected To Such Photos

Several celebrities have previously spoken about the issue of photographers taking pictures of women from behind.

Neha Dhupia and Ayesha Khan have publicly objected to the practice, while Sonakshi Sinha has also supported concerns raised over such photography.

Janhvi Kapoor has previously requested paparazzi not to photograph her from behind and later said that they respected her request.

Palak Tiwari, Zareen Khan and Manushi Chhillar are among other celebrities who have also raised concerns about intrusive paparazzi photography.
