Sofia Hayat Calls Salman Khan ‘Hypocritical Idiot’, Clarifies She Has ‘Nothing Against’ His Looks

Salman Khan took off his shirt during the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode of Bigg Boss 20, hitting back at trolls who have commented on his age, weight and appearance. The actor also criticised the trolling culture and called out some of the comments and behaviour of contestants inside the Bigg Boss house.

However, former Bigg Boss contestant Sofia Hayat criticised Salman for what she described as hypocrisy, alleging that he had body-shamed her during her stint on Bigg Boss 7 in 2013.

On Sunday, Sofia reacted on X (formerly Twitter) after Salman removed his shirt during the Weekend Ka Vaar episode. Sharing a clip of the moment, she questioned his stance on trolling and appearance.

“SALMAN is an hypocritical idiot. When I was in Bigg Boss he criticised my body and face..and told Gauahar (Khan) her body was good. Argh,” she wrote.

‘We Shouldn’t Criticise Salman For His Looks’

Sofia later clarified that her comments were not aimed at Salman’s age or appearance. In another post on Monday, she said people should not criticise the actor for his looks.

“We shouldn’t criticise Salman for his looks. He looks great, I have nothing against the way he looks, anyone who does is operating from low level of consciousness. Age is a blessing. 20 year olds don’t run the world,” she wrote.

During the episode, Salman removed his hat and shirt on stage and challenged those who had been trolling him over his weight and appearance.

“Bhai mota hogaya hai, bhai ko troll karo… Karlo troll, yeh lo. Karlo troll. Aao, troll karna hai na? Troll karna pasand hai? Yeh dekho, close-up karlo,” he said.

Salman’s reaction came as he addressed the broader culture of online trolling, while also responding to comments about his physical appearance.
