Amitabh Bachchan has revealed that he worked a gruelling 24-hour shift before returning to the sets of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) Season 18.
Taking to his blog on Wednesday, the veteran actor shared that he wrapped up a project at 7 am after beginning work at the same time the previous day.
“…aaaahhhh .. got hold of time in time .. finished work at 7 am this morning .. of work that began at 7 am yesterday .. but the importance of its presentation and its timely work was necessary .. so DID IT,” Bachchan wrote, adding that he was relieved to reconnect with his daily blogging routine.
The actor also revealed that he had another early call on August 6 to shoot for Kaun Banega Crorepati, joking that missing the schedule could cost him his job.
“I shall retire now, get some food in the belly .. hit a pillow for a while for, tomorrow the 6th Aug is another early call .. the first Broadcast Date for KBC is announced .. and missing that would mean a job replacement for me,” he wrote.
KBC Season 18 is set to premiere on August 10 at 9 pm on Sony Entertainment Television and Sony LIV. Bachchan will return as host, with this season centred around the theme ‘Sochna Padega’, highlighting the importance of interpreting and applying knowledge in the information age.
Apart from the popular quiz show, Bachchan is also gearing up for the sequel to Kalki 2898 AD, directed by Nag Ashwin. The film will see Prabhas and Kamal Haasan reprise their roles.
While reports have suggested that Sai Pallavi may replace Deepika Padukone in the sequel after the makers announced they had parted ways with the actress, no official confirmation has been made. The original film grossed over ₹1,000 crore worldwide, making it one of Indian cinema’s biggest blockbusters.
