Georgina Rodriguez stuns in rare $75 million diamond jewellery for Cristiano Ronaldo wedding: A look at her bridal glamour
When it comes to high-glamour bridal fashion, few can match Georgina Rodriguez. For her intimate wedding to longtime partner and football star Cristiano Ronaldo in Portugal, Rodriguez chose a custom white Gucci suit inspired by the Madrid boutique where the couple first met a decade ago, pairing the understated outfit with an extraordinary collection of Chopard high jewellery.
Jewellery content creator Julia Chafe highlighted the scale of Rodriguez’s bridal look in an Instagram video posted on August 17, claiming the jewellery was worth around $75 million, or approximately ₹7.18 billion.
The story behind the jewellery
Chafe said the significance of Rodriguez’s jewellery went beyond its enormous price tag. The pieces came from Chopard’s celebrated “Garden of Kalahari” collection, which has previously been worn by stars including Beyoncé and Rihanna.
The collection originated from a 1,342-carat rough natural diamond discovered at Botswana’s Karowe mine. Chopard acquired the stone and transformed it into 23 polished diamonds that became the foundation of the collection.
Three exceptional diamonds
The centrepiece of Rodriguez’s jewellery was built around three remarkable stones: a 50-carat round diamond, a 25-carat pear-shaped diamond and a 26-carat heart-shaped diamond.
The three pendants are detachable, allowing them to be worn separately. For her wedding ceremony, Rodriguez opted for the 50-carat round diamond.
Her bridal jewellery spectacle began even before the ceremony. During her morning workout, she was reportedly seen wearing a bracelet featuring a 21-carat emerald-cut diamond and a 14.7-carat emerald-cut diamond.
She was later photographed by the pool wearing a multi-strand Chopard diamond necklace, a diamond-studded watch and her large engagement ring, combining relaxed styling with extraordinary jewellery.
By pairing a minimalist white suit with some of the world’s most spectacular diamonds, Rodriguez created a bridal look that placed the jewellery firmly at centre stage.
