Goldy Brar Claims Nijjar Killing? Leaked Audio Reveals Alleged Details About His Death
A leaked audio clip has surfaced in which gangster Goldy Brar allegedly claims responsibility for the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, saying Nijjar was targeted over his alleged involvement in encouraging young people to sell drugs.
The authenticity of the audio could not be independently verified.
What did Goldy Brar allegedly say?
Brar reportedly made the remarks during a conversation with Khalistani terrorist Paramjit Singh Pamma. According to reports, he accused Nijjar of supporting individuals who allegedly recruited teenagers to sell drugs and act as informants.
Brar allegedly claimed that he and his associates killed Nijjar because he was using young people for drug trafficking.
When was Nijjar killed?
Nijjar, who founded the Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF), was shot dead outside a Sikh cultural centre in Surrey, British Columbia, on June 18, 2023.
His killing triggered a major diplomatic dispute between India and Canada, particularly after then-Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau alleged that there were potential links between Indian government agents and the murder. India rejected the allegations.
What have Canadian investigators said?
In July, Canadian investigators said they had found no evidence linking Indian government officials to Nijjar’s killing in the criminal investigation.
RCMP Deputy Commissioner Lisa Moreland said there was no evidence suggesting Indian officials were charged or involved in the organised-crime investigation and resulting indictment.
The newly surfaced audio, if authenticated, could add another dimension to the investigation, but its contents and provenance have not been independently established.
