Govinda Breaks Silence Amid Sunita Ahuja Feud Over Affair Rumours: ‘Bahut Si Baatein Aasman Mein Likhi Gayi’

Actor Govinda and his wife of 39 years, Sunita Ahuja, have been making headlines amid a public feud involving alleged affairs and reports of divorce proceedings. Recently, Sunita accused Govinda of having an affair with actor Komal Rani Swarnkar, prompting the actor to tell her to stay within her “limits”. At a Mumbai event on Saturday, Govinda made another set of cryptic remarks.

Govinda makes cryptic remarks

Govinda attended the Youth Shakti Dahi Handi event in Mumbai on Saturday evening and spoke to the media afterwards. While he did not name Sunita or directly address her recent allegations, the actor appeared to hint that he hoped to resolve certain issues soon.

“Aur bahut si baatein aasman mein likh di gayi hain. Main maayi se prarthana karta hoon ki woh clean-up ho aur Govinda use clean-up kar paaye,” Govinda said, which translates to: “And many things have been written in the sky. I pray to the Mother that they are cleaned up and that Govinda is able to clear them up.”

The actor did not clarify what he was referring to, but urged his supporters to continue standing by him.

“Aap log ka sahyog chahiye, saath chahiye. Theek waise hi sahyog aur saath chahiye jaise yahan par dekhne ko milega,” he said, asking for the same support and togetherness he witnessed at the event.

Govinda also thanked his fans for standing by him over the years. “I thank all of you for supporting me year after year,” he said, while announcing that he is set to make a comeback with two films, Roopa and Duniyadari.

What happened between Govinda and Sunita Ahuja?

Govinda and Sunita married on March 11, 1987, and have two children, Tina and Yashvardhan. The couple reportedly kept their marriage private during the first four years as Govinda established himself in the film industry.

In 2025, reports emerged that Sunita had filed for divorce, citing alleged infidelity and cruelty. However, Govinda’s lawyer later maintained that the couple was working towards reconciliation.

During an appearance on the reality show Lock Upp, Sunita alleged that Govinda had “countless flings over the years”. At the same time, she said he would always return to her, “even if he goes to 50 places”.
