‘I May Be Arrested’: Dipke Announces Tiranga March At Delhi’s Connaught Place On Friday

Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leader Dipke has announced a Tiranga March at Connaught Place in New Delhi on Friday, saying he fears he may be arrested amid the ongoing row over protests and the detention of party leaders.

The announcement comes after CJP leaders were reportedly detained while attempting to enter the Jantar Mantar protest site. The developments have triggered fresh political reactions, with questions being raised over the handling of peaceful demonstrations in the national capital.

Dipke’s proposed march is expected to centre on the national flag and the right to peaceful protest. The announcement comes amid heightened tensions surrounding demonstrations at Jantar Mantar and allegations of action against political activists.

The controversy has also drawn the attention of opposition leaders. Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, had criticised the detention of CJP leaders, saying that waving the Tricolour during a peaceful protest at Jantar Mantar was “not a crime”.

The Congress leader described the alleged jailing of young protesters as an act of cowardice and linked the issue to broader concerns over the right to dissent.

Dipke’s announcement of the Tiranga March on Friday could add another flashpoint to the ongoing confrontation over protests in Delhi. Further details about the route, timing and permissions for the proposed march were not immediately available.
