Sensex jumps 700, Nifty around 23,350; IndiGo, Eternal lead; realty index up 2%

The Nifty50 and the Sensex surged, tracking a positive global cues on hopes for peace in West Asia.

US President Donald Trump said that Washington has reached a great settlement with Iran, and only the finalisation of the document remains. The deal will be signed over the next few days, and the Strait of Hormuz will reopen.

As of 10:30 AM, the Nifty50 rose 0.83 per cent or 191.45 points to 23,353.05, and the Sensex was up 0.95 per cent or 701 points at 74,533.55.

InterGlobe Aviation, Eternal, and Shriram Finance were the top gainers in the Nifty50 index.

In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap and the Nifty SmallCap were trading 1.38 per cent and 1.61 per cent higher, respectively.

Sector-wise, the Nifty Realty, the Nifty Auto, and the Nifty Media outperformed, while the Nifty IT, the Nifty Healthcare, and the Nifty Pharma underperformed.

IPO Today

Horizon Reclaim (India) IPO will open for subscription on Friday. The company aims to raise ₹54.27 crore from the primary market.

Utkal Speciality’s initial public offer will enter the final day of subscription on. The company is seeking to raise ₹34.54 crore from the primary market.

Susan Electricals and Horizon Reclaim (India) IPOs will enter their second day. Both are book-build issues worth ₹70.38 crore and ₹54.27 crore, respectively.
