Sensex rises 400 pts, Nifty tops 22,950; Nifty IT gains 2%

The Nifty50 and the Sensex rose as gains on global equities supported.

As of 11:00 AM, the Sensex rose 321.26 points or 0.43 per cent to 74,174.16 and the Nifty50 was up 66 points or 0.29 per cent at 22,954.95.

Infosys, Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), and UltraTech Cement were the top gainers in the Nifty50.

In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap 100 rose 0.02 per cent and the Nifty SmallCap 100 fell 0.09 per cent.

Sector-wise, the Nifty IT rose the most while the Nifty Chemical declined the most.

Q2 Results Today

Adani Green Energy, Eternal, International Gemological Institute, Indian Hotels Company, KEI Industries, Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services, PC Jeweller, Indosolar, and Welspun Speciality Solutions will release their second-quarter (Q2FY27) results on Monday.
