The US Secret Service is aware of a video aired by Iranian state television discussing an alleged plot to assassinate US President Donald Trump’s youngest son, Barron Trump, a spokesperson said Tuesday.

“The US Secret Service is aware of the video and investigates anything that can be perceived as a threat toward our protectees,” spokesperson Nate Herring said in an email. He declined to provide further details, citing operational security.

The three-minute video claimed that 20-year-old Barron Trump was being monitored and alleged that a $10 million bounty had been offered for his killing.

The video comes amid heightened tensions between the US and Iran during the nearly six-month-old war involving the US, Israel and Iran. Reuters reported earlier this month that Israel had repeatedly warned Washington over the past year about alleged Iranian plans to assassinate President Trump, including before a secret Air Force One ruse in Türkiye.

Trump has previously said he considers himself “number one on the kill list for Iran.”
