‘American Pie’ star Shannon Elizabeth turns to OnlyFans to break free from Hollywood ‘control’

Shannon Elizabeth, who rose to fame as a Hollywood sex symbol after starring in American Pie, is joining the adult content platform OnlyFans, saying the move will help her take control of her career narrative.

In a statement to Variety, her manager Andy Bachman said the decision would allow her to connect more directly with fans, calling it a “powerful model” for engagement.

OnlyFans, a subscription-based platform where creators can charge users for exclusive content, has become widely associated with adult content over time, despite efforts to broaden its image.

Speaking to People, Elizabeth said the move marks a shift in how she approaches her career. “I’ve spent my entire career working in Hollywood, where others controlled the narrative. This new chapter is about changing that, showing a more daring side, and being closer to my fans,” she said, adding that she believes such platforms represent the future of content creation.

From ‘American Pie’ to now

Elizabeth, 52, became a breakout star with her role as Nadia in American Pie (1999) and later appeared in Scary Movie. While she reprised her role in American Pie 2 and featured in several comedies, her mainstream Hollywood career did not sustain the same momentum.

She was more recently seen in Jay and Silent Bob Reboot (2019) and on reality television shows like Celebrity Big Brother.

Elizabeth joins a growing list of celebrities turning to OnlyFans, including Carmen Electra, Bhad Bhabie, Mia Khalifa, and Drea de Matteo, as the platform continues to expand beyond its adult content roots.
