Commercial LPG cylinder prices reduced by up to ₹209; check revised rates in your city

The price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders has been reduced by more than ₹200 in Delhi and Kolkata, while domestic LPG cylinder rates remain unchanged, according to sources cited by ANI.

Commercial LPG prices have been cut by ₹202 in Delhi and ₹209 in Kolkata. Following the revision, the retail price stands at ₹2,738 per cylinder in Delhi and ₹2,872 in Kolkata.

Revised commercial LPG prices in other major cities include:

• Mumbai: ₹2,691
• Bengaluru: ₹2,821
• Lucknow: ₹2,860
• Chennai: ₹2,906
• Bhubaneswar: ₹2,908
• Hyderabad: ₹2,985
• Patna: ₹3,018

The latest reduction comes a month after oil marketing companies slashed commercial LPG prices by ₹183.50 on July 1.

Businesses welcome relief

Restaurant owners and small businesses welcomed the price cut, saying it would ease operating costs.

A street food vendor in West Bengal’s North 24 Parganas said the reduction would provide some relief but urged the government to lower prices further. Similar sentiments were echoed by a sweet shop owner in Ayodhya and a tea seller in Delhi, both of whom said cheaper commercial LPG would benefit small businesses.

Supply situation improves

Commercial LPG prices had surged earlier this year after the US-Iran conflict disrupted shipping through the Strait of Hormuz, leading to supply constraints and higher costs for restaurants and hotels.

The government restored commercial LPG supplies to normal levels in June after easing temporary restrictions imposed during the Middle East-related disruptions. Officials have maintained that LPG prices in India are aligned with international energy market trends.
