Playback singer Jasmine Sandlas, currently enjoying popularity for her songs in Dhurandhar, has come under online scrutiny after a clip from her recent concert in Ahmedabad went viral.

Concert clip sparks debate

The video, from her April 19 performance, shows Sandlas performing her track “Shararat” in a lehenga choli. At one point, she pours water over herself before continuing the act.

However, some viewers pointed out that she lowered her microphone multiple times while the song kept playing, leading to allegations of lip-syncing during what was meant to be a live performance.

Social media reactions were divided. Critics questioned the authenticity of the performance, with comments calling it “fake” and asking why artists don’t sing live at concerts.

Fans come to her defence

Despite the criticism, several fans praised the energy of the show, saying the live experience was engaging and enjoyable, even if parts of it appeared pre-recorded.
