PM Modi vows swift justice, announces fast-track courts for paper leak cases

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday announced that the Centre will set up fast-track courts to ensure the speedy trial of paper leak cases, saying those responsible for jeopardising the future of students “will not be spared.”

In his first public response to the ongoing protests over the NEET paper leak controversy, Modi said protecting students’ interests remains the government’s top priority and directed authorities to take all necessary steps to implement the decision.

“Nothing is more important than the welfare and future of our youth!” the Prime Minister wrote on X.

He said the government had decided to establish fast-track courts to ensure “swift and stringent punishment” for those involved in examination irregularities.

“We have decided to set up fast-track courts to ensure swift and stringent punishment for those involved in paper leaks. Have directed the concerned authorities and officials to take all necessary steps in this regard. This continues our series of steps for safeguarding the interests of students,” Modi said.

Issuing a strong warning to those behind paper leaks, the Prime Minister added, “Those who try to harm the future of our youth will not be spared.”

The announcement comes amid nationwide protests demanding the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan over the NEET paper leak and alleged irregularities in the examination system.
