Sensex at day’s low, down 400 pts; Nifty around 24,350; Puravankara jumps 13%

The Nifty50 and the Sensex were trading lower, amid mixed global cues as investors assessed the sign of fresh tension in West Asia.

As of 10:00 AM, the Sensex was down 337.86 points or 0.43 per cent at 77,671.39 and the Nifty50 fell 72 points or 0.29 per cent to 24,294.40.

JSW Steel, Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories, and Jio Financial Services were the top losers in the Nifty50 index.

In the broader markets, the Nifty MidCap and the Nifty SmallCap were trading 0.36 per cent and 0.17 per cent down, respectively.

Sector-wise, the Nifty PSU Bank declined the most, while the Nifty Auto outperformed the most.
